My Holiday Table 2011

So, I finally completed my nature inspired holiday table, and since the hot glue gun has pretty much fried any wit I had left today I'll save the humor and simply show the goods.

Take a look:

Both the pine cones and little brown bits seen on the cake stand were part of a package of potpourri.

The mini green ornaments were the last additions to the look. I actually quite liked it before but it was reading much more spring than Christmas, so in came the bulbs.

The placemats were made of gift wrap cut into the shape of some mats I already had. After busting out the scissors I used double-sided tape to adhere the paper to the mats and keep it from rolling up.

Best part about this table...I spent zero dollars on it. With the exception of the potpourri and the moss (which I got from my Mum) I had everything in stock.

And these mini cones were just pure luck. There were several in the pack so the browns made it onto the Xmas tree and the golds made it onto the table.

Bringing nature to the festivities. Why not.

P.S., you can have a look see at last year's holiday table here.
