Shhh...It's Secret Santa Time

So, apparently when kids are allowed to organize the Secret Santa gift giveaway things tend to get a wee bit out of control...way too many a few too many names get thrown in the hat, some people have to pull a few dozen  names so folks who were actually there for the drawing won't be left out, and someone's house (aka MY house) ends up filled to the brim with rolls of wrapping paper and miscellaneous gifts for loved ones who would otherwise receive nothing because the Secret Santa organizer didn't know how to organize...catching my virtual breath.

Anyway, before I turn into the been-up-all-night-wrapping-gifts-Grinch let me get down to the goods. Here's one of the things this little Elf has been doing:

For the little ladies I used plenty of colorful wrapping papers and a few wintery silver & white embellishments...











The women got a silver scale print adorned with the all white embellishments...





And of course I had to get all guy-like for the boys with plaids and twine, though I did throw in a little bit of myself by gluing a few potpourri pieces to each to create flower like details of the tops.





Despite the initial tone I truly do love this season, and I really love the giving portion...just can't seem to figure out how I keep getting freaking wrapping duty.

And so the moral of this jumbled story is...leave the Secret Santa organizing to the adults.
