Here's how it turned out:
The mantle piece turned out pretty spectacular thanks to her uber-powerful glue gun, which just might be the biggest baddest mama jama crafting tool that I've ever seen.
A few humongous ornaments and some
The rest of the room got some help with a garland that my Mum had lovingly put together only to want to toss later, which I convinced her not to do (silly Lady)...
A coffee table centerpiece which my 4-year old nephew hooked up
A wreath on the front door which I neglected to photograph while there was still light outside...
And a few faux gifts under the tree which my ever so observant nephew pointed out were filled with absolutely nothing, but would still signal to Santa that this was definitely the place to come to.
Perhaps like a smoke signal of sorts for the big guy in the red suit? I dunno, but it made sense to the little one.
Anyway, that's how things came together at the home which has somehow become the unofficial (or perhaps official at this point) venue for all of our family gatherings.
Sure to be the perfect backdrop for new laughs and new memories this year.
